Pay Range: $22.
50-$25.
50 per hour plus $1 per hour shift differential
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Team Leader will lead the manufacturing team in the Glass department.
They will giving daily direction, ensure proper training of associates, and ensure associates are working safely, following all quality requirements and all hourly targets are adhered too.
Responsible for personal safety as well as involvement in all EHS efforts at this facility.
This includes complying with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies or regulations set forth by Simonton and/or various governmental agencies.
Assist the Supervisor in the daily scheduling of employees based on volume of production
Supervise progress of all employees within his/her line to include the following: evaluating performance, facilitating layoffs, monitoring absences and initiating disciplinary action up to and including termination
Develop and maintain open lines of communication and daily interaction with employees
Participate in problem solving process to resolve preventative maintenance issues
Attend all training required and participate as a trainer when necessary
Monitor and insure adherence to good housekeeping practices to enhance pride in the facility
Participate, develop and maintain 5S and SMART procedures
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
Must have an understanding of how the line runs, what problems the line could and does encounter, and how to resolve such problems
Must have problem solving experience
Must have basic computer skills, Excel, PowerPoint
Must know the required PPE for each job on the line
Must have satisfactory attendance record
Preference for exemplary attendance

Experience in manufacturing or installing windows preferred
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand
The employee is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; turning or twisting; pushing; and talk or hear
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
Must be able to pass a background check
