The services offered by the organization include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Vigo County, Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), Child Care Resource & Referral (CCRR), Safe Kids Vigo County, Out of School Club, Camp RAVE, Strengthening Families, Teen Court, Tobacco Prevention & Cessation, iLead, Bikes for Tykes and Counseling Services.
*Position Description*
Therapists are responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, therapy, and case management support for a diverse caseload including children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing mental health issues, communication challenges, or family conflict.
This includes associated duties as listed below.
*Role and Responsibilities*
* Provide individual and family counseling according to individualized treatment plans and in accordance with Indiana laws and professional standards.
* Assist clients in designing their individualized treatment plans to meet their needs.
* Conduct risk assessments with clients and take appropriate safety actions, as indicated.
* Create, maintain, and submit accurate records and documents in a timely manner.
* Make treatment and social service referrals to appropriate agencies that support client goals.
* Maintain professionalism as well as follow ethical practices.
* Utilize current knowledge and be open to formal and informal supervision.
* Advocate for the needs of the clients served.
* The work schedule to include some evening hours and occasional weekend hours.
* Actively engage in personal and clinical growth through continuing education and supervision.
*Qualifications:*
* Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, psychology, or related field.
* 2+ years’ experience providing diagnostic assessment and therapy.
* Indiana licensure in social work, mental health counseling, psychology, or related field.
* Obtain Indiana Clinical licensure when eligible to do so.
(LCSW, LMHC, LMFT)
* Maintain professional standards and professional licensure throughout employment.
* Ability to work as a cooperative, positive team member.
* Ability to connect and positively engage with clients, staff, and community.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,000.
00 - $60,000.
