*Paraprofessional Visitation Facilitator - Independent Contractor *

Join us an Independent Contractor, where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring safe supervised parenting time for families referred to us by the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS).
We are seeking providers in Putnam, Hamilton, Hendricks, and surrounding counties.
You will be issued a 1099 at the end of the year.

As a contracted service provider for DCS, we prioritize holistic support, empowering families through a range of services aimed at facilitating family support, preservation, and reunification.
*Responsibilities: *
* Monitor and ensure safe supervised visits between parents and their children, to maintain and strengthen critical bonds, supporting reunification
* Coordinate, schedule, and ensure the integrity of supervised parenting time.
Work with the referring worker, and with the Child and Family Team (CFT) to develop a Visitation Plan that includes consideration for transportation needs of the parents and child’s current caregivers
* Promptly contact all parties upon receiving a case/referral to set up supervised parenting time within 48 hours of completing an intake
* Aid families in enhancing the parent-child relationship by fostering positive communication skills, implementing age-appropriate discipline, and establishing health boundaries and activities
* Safeguard the integrity of visits by cultivating a positive atmosphere in various locations, including facilities, neutral sites, the child’s own home, foster homes, or relative’s homes, where parents and children can interact in safe, structured environments.
Prioritize the child’s physical and emotional safety
* Maintain accurate visitation observation session notes, and adhere to court-ordered contracts, including amount of parenting time, level of supervision, approved visitors, and any no-contact orders
*Required Qualifications: *
* High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Possession of a valid driver’s license, access to a private vehicle, and compliance with DCS policy regarding minimum car insurance coverage
* Ownership of a personal laptop and accessories
*Required Background Checks: *
* Fingerprint-Based National and State Criminal History Checks
* Child Protective Services (CPS) History Checks
* National Sex Offender Registry Checks
* Local Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) Court Record Checks
* Local Law Enforcement Agency Name-Based Arrest Record Searches
*Preferred Qualifications: *
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong communication, organization, critical thinking, problem-solving, and time-management skills
* At least 1 year experience/familiarity with the child welfare system, CHINS family law, and understanding of child abuse/neglect and adult/child development
* Familiarity of child development, basic childcare, and community resources
*Pay: *
* Reimbursement ranging between $30 - $35 based on experience.
