Works with Head Start families, children, volunteers and staff to provide a comprehensive age appropriate, safe, child-centered learning environment that will ensure that all child issues are addressed in a timely and positive manner in accordance with federal, state, local, and Agency rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
The Teacher consistently supports the activities outlined in the Agency’s Strategic Plan.
*MINIMUM Qualifications:*
* Associate’s Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education required; or
* Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or related field with at least 18 Early Childhood Education hours preferred.
* Experience teaching preschool children preferred.
* Must have demonstrated leadership, managerial, and organizational skills
* Must have knowledge of early childhood education.
* Must have documented ability to:
* Communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
* Meet and work well with the public.
* Operate PC with working knowledge of Microsoft software applications including Windows, Microsoft Office, and related program software.
* Display an ability to learn and utilize new/custom software applications as required.
* Work well with and without supervision, and with other staff.
