The Bookkeeper is responsible for all aspects of daily operations that pertain to the agency bookkeeping activities.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, issuing monthly invoices/ statements, A/R related reporting, processing payroll and reconciling agency bank statements.
The bookkeeper is responsible for acting as a backup to all department members in the event of an absence.
The bookkeeper is expected to maintain a level of accuracy consistent with generally accepted accounting practices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
High school diploma or equivalent.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
Bookkeeping experience including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger.
2.
Computer experience, including Microsoft Excel.
3.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
4.
Ability to pay attention to and follow through with detail.
5.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
8.
Ability to relate to various client populations, other staff, and the community at large in a professional manner.
9.
Ability to keep client information confidential.
10.
Typing and office machine experience.
